VFX SUPERVISION, PRODUCING & COORDINATION
Every project needs oversight and vision. We provide highly experienced, capable supervision and project management for the duration of the production process. Getting involved in a project from the earliest stages helps our producers and supervisors tailor the methodology we use to best suit a client’s creative vision, while staying within their budgets.
CONCEPT DESIGN & ART DIRECTION
Talented artists love nothing more than the challenge of developing a sequence through from initial concept to the finished shots. Our design staff have the chops to create fresh, imaginative designs for characters, vehicles, architecture, environments and much, much more.
It helps to know what you want before you spend good money to shoot it. Our team can help shape the vision that informs the final shot – be it a space battle or an elaborate set extension. Working closely with directors, producers and supervisors on set, on location, at our facilities in Vancouver, or even at a distance over the internet, we can accommodate the most demanding project.
PRACTICAL ELEMENT SHOOTS
You provide the vision, we do the rest. Atmosphere VFX can pull together all the necessary elements – crew, camera, lighting, special effects technicians, effects stage, miniatures – to shoot a huge variety of practical elements. Miniatures, pyro, smoke, water, goopy alien slime – the possibilities are limitless.
We are now happy to provide motion capture for realistic character animation.
3D MODELLING & ANIMATION
Whatever the project needs -- CG environments, vehicles, particle systems, fluid dynamics, you name it -- With a substantial render farm at our disposal 24/7, we have the juice to bring big visions to life.
Leveraging the extraordinary flexibility and speed of Nuke, our talented compositing team blend live action with CG, miniatures, matte paintings and practical effects to produce shots so seamless you can’t tell where reality ends and the effects begin.
From the eye-popping alien worlds of Falling Skies to the blink and you-miss-it ultrarealism of The Man in the High Castle, matte paintings, set extensions and virtual environments are our specialty. Using the gamut of techniques –digitally-painted images, photocomposites, full-CG environments, and hybrid “2½-D” – we can help the filmmaker broaden the visual canvas in countless ways.
